Knowledge comes from all sources and conveying knowledge has always been an essential component of civilization. Our communication system has long relied on language as the tool to share what we learn. Words serve as the most elemental messengers, and the creation of the printing press was the first step in spreading ideas to all those sharing the ability to read. But, reading is not restricted to words alone. We “read” the signs that nature provides in order to learn about the physical world we inhabit.

In READ MUCH, some of the book’s leaves are pages, while others reference text and images from other sources. A willow tree takes root and its branches secure nature and learning to each other.
