Benjamin Franklin ran away from his home in Boston in search of something better, and found Philadelphia. Like Franklin, I, too, left my home in search of culture and higher education, both of which I found in Philadelphia. The city of “Brotherly Love” became my home for the next few years. Encased inside the briefcase are the letters of the alphabet cast in recycled text papers and mounted on wood blocks. I use works of art in hopes of achieving the level of communication that words represent.
