Constantin Cotty Nazarie

The concept of my work is to unify the past with the future in relationship to Benjamin Franklin, a key citizen of the United States. Although known for his talents as a man of science, inventor, philosopher, musician, and economist, perhaps even more notable were his skills in diplomacy, writing, and negotiating. These enabled him to shape the future of this country. The future is seen as a place of hope, shown as a futuristic control panel realized in polychromatic marble using a technique of inlaid relief. All this is reflected in the present as people gain new ideas as they look into this box and relate to the historical evolution of our species.
