Cora Lee Charpentier
“In Your Case” uses the suitcase form in a fashion similar to that of an antique musical instrument case. It has powder-blue velvet and is hollow in the shape of a body. The poem etched into the lid of the case addresses ideas of closure. The poem proposes the idea of letting someone go by storing their memories in a box.
