This February, paintings, sculptures, and works of new media will make a splash as they cross the river from Camden, NJ to Philadelphia. Invited faculty members from the Rutgers Camden Art Faculty will join members of Philadelphia Sculptors in a collaborative exhibition, “Over the Bridge,” at 3rd Street Gallery in Old City, Philadelphia.

In the first collaboration of its kind, sculptures by PS members Maria Anasazi, Carol Cole, John Costanza, Brent Crothers, James Fuhrman, Sydney Hamburger, Cheryl Harper, Warren Holzman, and Elizabeth Mackie will be shown with artworks by Rutgers Camden faculty members Elizabeth Demaray, Bobby Emmons, Allan Espiritu, Jeff Filbert, Bruce Garrity, Ken Hohing, and LiQin Tan.

Separated by a real river but otherwise only by artificial political boundaries, the artists in this show draw from individual ideation and constructs that reflect on how temporal, political and physical boundaries are defined, obliterated or recreated.

3rd Street Gallery is located in Old City at 58 North 2nd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
