Final Destination Philadelphia !

  June 25 through October 8, 2000
in the Reading Terminal HeadHouse

If you missed the earlier HeadHouse shows, this is your last chance to see PS work in this exciting alternative venue. Keeping company with Judy Pfaff's monumental hanging sculpture in the Convention Center Grand Ballroom, the PS show casts a strong vote for the value of the arts in daily life.

Many of the artists are showing with Philadelphia Sculptors for the first time, and are contributing fresh statements to the ongoing discussion about what art is and what it should be. Particularly strong imagery is provided in the works of new members Martha Gelarden ("Anonymous Infanta") and Daniel Shawn Turley ("It's a What?")

This show also allows viewers who missed the brief spring "Art Works/Water Works" display at Liberty Place to experience at least part of that event. Three of the interpretative columns (by Knox Cummin, Roberta Fallon & Libby Rosof, and Leslie Kaufman) make a second, longer appearance this time.

Other artists in the show are: Martha Trowbridge Davis, Iris Even, Paul Hubbard, Sean Jenkins, Robert Kirsch, Lucartha Kohler, Joe Mooney, Neil Moul, and Myra Weisgold.

The HeadHouse is located next to the Philadelphia Convention Center on Market Street between 11th and 12th Streets. The main entrance is on Market Street, under the arched sign for the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

The exhibition takes place in the mezzanine area at the top of the escalators leading to the Convention Center Grand Ballroom.
