Suzanne Reese Horvitz: "An Overview of Work in Glass and Aluminum"

Don't miss this unique opportunity to hear internationally recognized Philadelphia artists Roesch and Horvitz talk about their recent individual and collaborative projects. Together they have served as Cultural Specialists for the US State Department, exhibiting their artwork and lecturing in South America, South East Asia and the Middle East. Find out what the rest of the world already knows!

SUZANNE REESE HORVITZ holds a BFA and MA from the University of the Arts and a Doctorate in Fine Arts from Columbia University. Former Executive Director of NEXUS, she has received grants from the PA Council on the Arts, the Mid Atlantic Council on the Arts, Fulbright Foundation, NEA and the Center For Creative Glass.

Horvitz has had one -person exhibitions and is in the permanent collection of the Gulbenkian, Fyns-Kunstmuseum, Utah Museum, Museum of Victoria, BC and Musée d'Art Contemporain. Her work is also in the permanent collection of the Musée d'Art Moderne, Paris; Corning Museum; Museum of American Glass and Glasmuseum, Denmark.

ROBERT ROESCH is Chair of Sculpture at PAFA. Roesch has had one person exhibitions and is in international museum collections. He has received grants and fellowships from the Ford Foundation, the Fulbright Foundation, PA Council on the Arts, and the Mid Atlantic Council on the Arts. His public art commissions include: Norwich CT , The Entrance to Texas A & M, The Gateway to the City of Wichita, and monumental public art sculptures in Florida, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, North Carolina and Colorado.
