Extinct Extant

Nothing Shocks the Schuylkill Center !

Phantom wolves, alien landing sites, mutant fungi, open graves: these are only a few of the eerie wonders that will be haunting the grounds of the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education this summer.  Seven installations by nine artists comprise "Extinct/Extant" an exhibition on the trails of this 500 acre nature preserve located in the Roxborough/Andorra section of Philadelphia.
Part of the "Big Nothing" program sponsored by the Institute of Contemporary Art in Philadelphia, the exhibition will be in place from July 11 through December 31, 2004.  There is a public opening reception on Sunday, July 11 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. with artist-led tours beginning at 3:30.

The artists are: Sylvia Benitez, Jackie Brookner, *Knox Cummin, *Ed Dormer, *Darla Jackson, Liat Margolis, Jan Tomlinson Master, Alex Robinson, & Brian Tolle.
