Exploratory and introspective, my approach
to creation seeks understanding. It questions matter just as it stimulates
reflection on my own abilities to transform it, setting it into motion.
My work is a kind of painstaking inquiry into the nature of relations
between the creator and his 'creatures'. An inquiry leading to the discovery
of a material universe and formal origins, but also of who I am and what
I do not know about myself.
Like the poet who pours out his dreams on paper, my verse manifests itself
in convex or concave curves, in smooth and polished surfaces, in roughness
and protuberance. Under fire and iron, competing visions take shape. The
bronze reveals a prose of gesture bearing the imprint of impulses and
passions. Concieved as a universal language founded on the perception
of shapes occupying space, sculpture is a junction for the sharing of
ideas.
