Artist Statement
My work consists of designs created on a foundation of recycled metal heightened by coatings and coverings which are picked to accentuate the sculpture.
The metal I use is found materials. The pieces are chosen because they exude a distinct and significant impression to the observer after they are worked on by cutting, forging and welding.
I arrange this material to fit into an overall pattern to create a sculpture giving a combination of impressions which blend and harmonize.
