Artist Statement
The focus of my current work comes from
the stories and myths of ancient cultures. I use images both literal and
abstract found through travel to ancient sites as well as in books and
museums from many diverse cultures. These images are transformed into
sculptural forms via universal symbols.
I choose to present my work in glass because of the illusive, mystical
qualities of the material, suggesting a reality greater than we perceive.
