As an artist, I have fun creating sculpture,
works on paper and paintings that are thoughts and feelings visually influenced
by the designer in me. I¹ll approach a new piece employing concept-development
(as in a design project) and the natural challenges imposed to me by the
medium. When I discover an item¹s potential outside of it¹s
perceived role or usage, then the concept is born. Life, manufacturing
and nature have a lot to offer. Presenting them in a light that transcends
the norm and intrigues, is my aim. Incorporating humour or the telling
of a life aspect can also be part of it.
Art and design may exist in different worlds for some, but not in mine!
