Artist Statement
My work has grown around
what I see in nature and how often it resembles human form and reflects
human emotion. Rock and cloud formations and ocean waves can often be
seen to have human form, texture and tone. Flowers can be sensuous and
trees can be peopled. With a little imagination branches and roots of
trees can show human intensities or "body language," such as
reaching, yearning and entanglement; very similar to the ways in which
the exterior anatomy and musculature of the human body reflect its deepest
feelings.
