My mixed media constructions contain elements symbolic of family and home, searching and nature. As I construct a piece, I attempt to strip away all but the essential experience. The stories are personal, perhaps representing a sense of well being that may be precariously delicate; or of striving embodied by a structure stretching up, yet holding and portraying what is hidden and secretive; and, in spite of the rawness of harsh realities, a place where imagination can roam.
